Kaprangkamanis
Kaprangkamanis is a slave dance from the natives of Lanao. Characteristic movements are cautious, catlike steps made with bent knees while weaving graceful patterns with the hands. Long silver nails attached to the dancer's nails invite attention of the wave-like hand movement. The costumes are of hand loomed abaca fiber encrusted with beads. Principal head movements consist of decorative turban for the male, and a unique pair of earrings connected by a silver chain for the female.
