Kalingkingan
Kalingkingan is an Ibanag dance popular to the natives of Cagayan. Kalingkingan is a bird that lives in caves and flies swiftly while producing a sound with its wings resembling that of bamboo castanets striking together. Performers mimic the graceful movements of these birds. Kalingkingan is danced at any social gathering by girls holding a pair of wooden castanets and boys holding a pair of bamboo (buho) castanets, who are accompanied by music in 2/4 time produced by sinco-sinco, a five-stringed guitar that can be found in Cagayan.
