Kadaolat sa Miatai
In this pre-burial Maranao dance, six or more persons line up on the path to the grave of the dead, singing as they dance. The dance steps are unstructured. It is believed that the dance will make the dead arise once more, and for the last time visit his family and relatives. The Muslim ulamas (intellectuals) object to this dance for they suspect that it is of pagan origin.
